How do the subscription boxes work?
Monthly Subscription Boxes: Your box will be packaged and sent out to you on the Wednesday following the 1st of each month, so you’ll receive your box of goodies within a couple of days of it being sent out.
Weekly Subscription Boxes: Your box will be packaged and sent out to you on the Wednesday of each week, so you’ll receive your box of goodies by the Friday of that week.
Fortnightly Subscription Boxes: Your box will be packaged and sent out to you on the Wednesday of each Fortnight, so you’ll receive your box of goodies by the Friday of that week.
How do I change my choice of bars each time?
You can easily change your bar selections for each upcoming delivery in your account subscription settings. Please change this any time before your renewal date.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes you can, but we’ll be sad to see you leave. You can cancel your subscription at any time in your account subscription settings.
Can I skip a box if I go on holiday?
Yes. You can pause your subscription at any time on your account page. Unpause at any time too, and your subscription will resume just as normal.
What packaging do you use for deliveries/shipping?
We use fully recyclable/compostable cardboard boxes and cardboard postal boxes to ship our chocolate in. We use a cardboard alternative to bubblewrap to ensure your bars arrive intact. All tape used is paper based and plastic free.
Is the chocolate packaging home compostable/plastic free/recyclable?
We use fully recyclable/compostable cardboard boxes and cardboard postal boxes to ship our chocolate in. We use a cardboard alternative to bubblewrap to ensure your bars arrive intact. We don’t use any plastic in any of our packaging.
Can I add a custom note in the delivery box?
Yes. Adding a handwritten note into a box of our organic vegan chocolate is the best way to personalise gifts for friends and loved ones. There is an option to add a message when you proceed to checkout from your cart page. If you’ve missed this, contact us as soon as you can and we will add it to the order before it’s shipped out.
Is the chocolate allergen-free?
Our chocolate is free from the top 14 allergens. Our recipes are all nut free, and the environment and equipment the chocolate is made in is also nut free. We have not yet had our chocolate lab tested for traces of nuts, but will update this statement as soon as we have.
What is raw cacao?
Most chocolate companies roast the cacao beans as a part of their process in making their chocolate. We skip this stage in order to maintain the natural properties that are found in a cacao bean. This is what is known as raw cacao. Oxford Brookes tested our chocolate and found “significantly higher levels of antioxidants and polyphenols compared to four leading UK dark chocolate brands.”
Why is Mr Popple's Chocolate different from the rest?
- We use yacon syrup, a low-glycemic sweetener, in many of our chocolate bars. In fact, we are the only chocolate producing company in the UK that sweetens some of our chocolate bars with only yacon syrup.
- Our chocolate is handcrafted from raw, unroasted Criollo Cacao, a rare heritage variety known for its rich, complex flavor profile.
- We source our cacao ethically from a cooperative of farmers in the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest, ensuring fair trade practices and supporting sustainable agroforestry techniques.
- Our chocolate is completely plant-based, vegan, and organic, catering to various dietary preferences and lifestyles.

Is the chocolate sugar-free?
Our chocolate is free from refined sugar. The Pure Peruvian bar is 100% cacao with nothing else added. Atey Ate%, Signature Seventy and Euphoric Orange are all sweetened with Yacon Syrup, which is also ideal for anyone avoiding sugar. The other bars are sweetened with coconut blossom, which is a unrefined, lower GI alternative to refined sugar.
Does the chocolate contain any palm oil?
No. Our chocolate contains no palm oil. Mr Popple’s Chocolate is strictly palm oil free due to the negative environmental consequences resulting from the production of palm oil and the nature of its plantations.
Is the chocolate GM-free?
Yes. All of our chocolate bars are certified organic, and our chocolate doesn’t contain any genetically modified ingredients. Additionally, because our products have organic certification by the Biodynamic Association (BDA), no pesticides or herbicides are used in the production of any of the ingredients in our chocolate bars.
What if there was a problem with my order?
We aim to be as efficient and careful as possible when packaging your orders, but If there is a problem with your order, please get into contact with us and we will be happy to help to resolve any issues you have as soon as possible.
Is your chocolate Fair Trade?
Our chocolate is fairly traded. We are not registered fair trade, but we do follow the same principles and philosophy that the Fair Trade Association promotes. Here at Mr Popple’s Chocolate, we are big believers that everyone involved in the chocolate industry should benefit, including mother nature! That’s why we work hard to invest in fairly traded products and ensure that every person in the chain is treated and paid fairly. The promotion of sustainable farming practise is also on the top of our agenda. So whilst our packaging may not carry the logo, rest assured that we’re doing our bit to make sure the way that we operate is fair for all.
Is the chocolate certified organic?
Yes. All of Mr Popple’s Chocolate Bars are organically certified by the Biodynamic Association (BDA). This means that everything that goes into our chocolate bars is non-GMO and hasn’t been treated with pesticides or herbicides.
Is the chocolate vegan/vegetarian?
Yes. Our chocolate is vegetarian and vegan, we carefully select our ingredients to ensure they do not contain any animal products.
